Alright, so I never played Guildwars 1 (was too busy still fucking around with NoX) but I heard a lot of good things about it and have looked at Guildwars 2 a bit and it seems interesting. From the pvp videos it is so far reminding me heavily of warhammer online, which had a fairly enjoyable pvp experience as far as I am concerned.

So couple of questions

Who played 1 and enjoyed it?
Who is going to try out 2, or already did in the beta?
Would you suggest it or is it overblown hype?
Just how good is the pvp in reality? I honestly don't play many games anymore for their solo play options.

Discussion?

I played the first one. I had the original game with no expanions. Basically it got boring fast. I didn't think the expansions were worth it for me judging on the original.

Does anyone here play star craft, because i am making a nox like mod for it, although i am having some upload problems due to my 0.01 mb or 10 kb total connection speed.

i probly won t be geting it im looking more forward to borderland2/ torchlight2 and kinda hyped for that The War Z rivial to DayZ mod ."plan these to keep me busy when winter hits"

but free online play wouldn t be a bad buy by any means.
i more scared of games like these nowdays that might end up revolving my schedule around a mmo again.
plus not sure what free to play model there shooting for. the graphic looks nice has tons of hype the world events look cool as well as a bio to your character as you progress sounds great!

alot of my friends have gotten the game but haven't talked about it at work or tryed to pull me in. when i asked one said it seems typical mmo and they still play the other games and play gw2 at a casual a rate. so im taking that im not really missing anything. thankfully one less game i have to drop 60 on.

now torch light and border lands coming out within a few days of each other think im going to drop borderlands thats 60 and already have a 30 dollar season pass out. but i may wait to see all the hype and wait till a steam sale or what not to pick it up. and on top of that plus free to play fire fall soon to be out could have positional to give borderlands like experience and there also trying to make  esport out of it could prove to be interesting aswell. then... dayz stand alone so many fuckin games this year good grief.
