Gave the PC a run at it too.

Here is my montage for my first few matches. I think it's pretty entertaining. I play Recon and Engineer. So Snipes at the beginning and some gritty gun CCQ later.

I played Caspian Border a couple times. Like that way more than Operation Metro.

Play mostly Recon and Engineer. RPG's kick so much ass. And recon get the squad spawner afterall.

How do you become Squad Leader? I've had several squads with no leaders and I seem to randomly get the position.

I've heard nothing but good about Caspian.

Fucking Recon spawn radio is like the key to winning, pair it with smart assault medics and you will dominaaate.

Squad leader, Idk. Try and issue/spot commands on objectives and you will get more exp tho.

Caspian is what Battlefield is all about. Tanks, Atvs, Jets, Helicopters, mounted guns, huge maps, and beautiful graphics. I love tank duels and sniping with the cannon from halfway across the map.

Sadly their Caspian test servers are shut down now, but leaked software has enabled people to start hosting Metro on any game mode. Still super buggy though and some servers have as many as 255 people connecting.

I just left a game where it was like everyone had god mode and infinite ammo. The outside of Metro was nothing but rubble and I think my left eye is a bit fucked up from all the flashes and rumbles and screen blurs. Eventually everything was sorted out. It was actually quite cool seeing how everyone reacted as we slowly started to die off again.

The Recon's Radio Becaon is super bugged on PC. Sometimes it won't let you set it down, even after you've removed your other ones.

I usually spam the drop thing while strafing in circles until it sticks. I don't think it's bugged so much as not well explained.

In Caspian, the beacon has to be in an area exposed to the sky, so I figure outside metro it has to be in the light. Although once you're inside the subway it spawn alright. The fucking thing always spawns you looking in reverse though so when you place it, look away from the direction you want to spawn looking.

Just to clarify. I heard or read that it has to be place on a 'flat' surface.

and on that note,

Why the FUCK is there a black-hole now on the PC where everyone gets sucked into that blast hole[then under the level] outside next to the com-station closes to the bridge[the first deployment for attackers]

Not sure what that black hole you are talking about is.

One thing I've noticed is that corpses are almost ALWAYS moving. It's like the maps are tilted at a slight angle and all the dead bodies are slowly sliding to one side of the map. I'm constantly shooting dead bodies, because I think they're prone people crawling. I've even seen a dead body work it's way UP the side of a train, AND OUT THE WINDOW! WTF!

And by black-hole, I think he means everyone heads to the exact same spot. There's a section of A where going prone allows you to go completely under the map. It's really not all that great though. Standing behind the barricades just behind the point is way better.

I just want to play caspian border again. The bugs I've seen so far are nothing big aside from the crashing/freezing. Other than that, I do want spawning mechanics to change. It's getting to the point where spawning on a mobile spawner is instant death since you're blind+paralyzed for the first second and a half and if someone just camps the spawner he'll get a half dozen kills pretty easily.

You know exactly where I am talking about. EXCEPT I meant it exactly how I said it- Black Hole. If I was like 10 feet from that little blast hole in front of A I got "sucked into it" and landed on top of a mother fucker prone on it trying to hide under the level and die. Like literally I would run past it to jump that ledge you are talking about then get dragged back to end up in a fucking hole.

I ready somewhere that it's basically whoever is in the squad the longest is the squad leader.

You should also look up the Viking EOD Bot videos.

If it's moving at full speed, it can roadkill. Much funnier video too.

The situation with Squad Leader is I've been in plenty of squads that have no leader at all. The only times I seem to get it are when a person that was previously squad leader leaves.
