Hosting a Game in Network

Is it feasible to host a game in the same host with multiple people in the same house? The game is just not showing up. I tried allowing the port 18590 to no avail. I don't know the password and admin for the internet connection I'm using. I looked through all the hosting issues and there didn't seem to be much involving Network hosting. I figured the hosted game would appear instantly to any of my friends.

Short answer: No
There is a decent thread about this somewhere, but I forget. Basically, need to hack something to get it to work and no one really remembers how.

Apparently it was just the house connection. We ventured to a different house and it ended up working. Thanks.
